Frequenty Asked Questions and Answers

  • Cooktop Compatibility

Diamond Shield is compatible with various cooktops, including induction, gas, electric & ceramic.

  • Nonstick Coating

Diamond Shield uses a ceramic nonstick coating that is PTFE-free and PFAS-free.

  • Scratch Resistance
All surfaces can scratch, even a diamond! Metal spoons, spatulas, whisks, and other metal utensils are fine, but sharp utensils or knives could leave a scratch. If this happens it is only cosmetic, and it will not affect the performance or safety of the cookware.

  • Sticking

Sticking often occurs when using too much heat. Diamond Shield recommends starting on medium-low heat with a little few drops of oil.

  • Seasoning

Like most fine cookware, Diamond Shield should be seasoned before its first use. You do not need to season your pans before every use.
    To season your pans properly:
    • Heat your pan to medium-low and spread 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil around the interior of the pan.
    • Leave the pan on the heat for 1-2 minutes.
    • Now you're ready to cook. Simple as that!

  • Heat Usage

Diamond Shield Cookware allows for even heat distribution, so you can cook at lower temperatures.

  • Cleaning

Stainless steel may stain, but Diamond Shield Cookware's design staining is easy to remove. Use warm soapy water and a steel wool pad only around the rim and underside to remove stains. Remember to stay clear of the cooking surface when doing so. To deep clean the pan's interior, soak in warm, soapy water for 10 to 15 minutes and then clean with a soft, non-abrasive sponge.
